  9. -----------
  10.   FMdriver is  a new driver system for the FrameMachine
  11.   video-card from electronic-design.
  12.   It is a completely rewritten driver and it features
  13.   the fastest possible access-speed to the hardware.
  14.  
  15.   It is fast enough to watch television on the Workbench
  16.   (PPC strongly recommended!)
  17.  
  18.   The driver and the TV-program are included as 68k and
  19.   PPC-versions to provide optimum performance.
  20.  
  21.   The FMdriver archive contains several programs:
  22.  
  23.   FMBaseConfig  --  A config-program which allows the easy
  24.                     configuration of the Prism24-display and
  25.                     digi-sizes.
  26.  
  27.   FMTV          --  This program allows you to use the
  28.                     FrameMachine for watching television on the
  29.                     WB (!!).
  30.                     It also allows to configure the Prism24 so that
  31.                     you can watch TV over it.
  32.                     You additionally have the option to make
  33.                     snapshots from the video and save it as image
  34.                     to disk.
  35.  
  36.   FMInit        --  A small tool which allows to initialize the
  37.                     FrameMachine with user-definable settings.
  38.                     It is very useful to copy this tool into
  39.                     the WBStartup drawer to auto-init the FM
  40.                     on boot. as alternative, you can also use FMInit
  41.                     from Shell.

  43.   FMRecorder    --  Record small movies directly to your harddrives!
  44.                     This program is also able to playback the recorded
  45.                     anims and also allows to convert them into single
  46.                     images.

  48.   FMRecord      --  This shell-program allows to record FMMovie anims
  49.                     directly to harddisk (like FMRecorder does).

  51.   FMRecordDec   --  This shell-program is a converter from the FMMovie
  52.                     file format into single images (same funtionality
  53.                     as FMRecorder, but useful for script-processing).

  55.   FMGrab        --  A small shell-program which allows to grab images
  56.                     and save them to file.

  62.   o FrameMachine video card, with or without Prism24 add-on
  63.   o AmigaOS3.x (tested with 3.9)
  64.   o About 2MB free RAM

  66.   o OCS, ECS or AGA (runs from 2 to 256 colors (!!) )

  121.          - introduced the double buffer mode of the FrameMachine
  122.            (brings *major* speed increases!!)
  123.          - added Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Red, Green, Blue
  124.            correction functions to FMTV
  125.          - added the "GrabbingCenter" to FMTV! Now there it is
  126.            really easy to grab images out of videos!
  127.          - added a lot of shortcuts to FMTV
  128.          - FMRecorder now has anim-controls (pause, seek, ...)
  129.            to have much better access to the recorded video
  130.          - FMRecorder profits of the double buffer mode of the
  131.            FrameMachine very much, too!

  143.          - cleaned up the newframemachine.library a bit
  144.          - added a new feature: configurations, now you can save and
  145.            recall several different configurations you can create with
  146.            FMBaseConfig; added this feature to all FMdriver applications
  147.          - the driver now always uses the last used config as default
  148.          - FMBaseConfig is now localized
  149.          - changed the structure of FMBaseConfig to have all the new
  150.            possibilities which became available with configurations
  151.            enabled
  152.          - the video-window of FMBaseConfig and FMRecorder always snaps
  153.            to the right border of the main window
  154.          - FMTV now is able to grab a picture from the tvwindow,
  155.            prefswindow and grabcenterwindow just by pressing <SPACE>

  157.          - fixed an enforcer hit of FMTV
  158.          - FMTV didn't use the filename for the image basename specified
  159.            by the filerequester in the grabbing center. fixed.

  161.          - from now on, every application in FMdriver will have the same
  162.            version number; this will help to ensure what version is installed...
  163.          - updated the complete guide documentation so that the new features
  164.            are also covered... hmm... writing documentation really needs
